At CSE, we’re always on the move. Or as Bart van Helvoort from Claeren – Alpina Group puts it: “You constantly challenge the status quo.” That said, we always do so with careful consideration—keeping Bart’s advice on financial and operational risks firmly in mind.
Bart, tell us—how do you help move us forward?
“Mainly by carefully thinking through every risk before making important decisions. Take the energy storage system, for example. We asked ourselves critical questions: What’s needed for fire prevention? How can we organize a backup? And what structural requirements does the building need to meet? This way, we help CSE avoid unwanted consequences and minimize risks.”
Why is Claeren – Alpina Group good at this?
“Primarily because we’re involved every quarter, which means we know CSE inside and out. We understand exactly how the company operates, which allows us to manage risks effectively and maintain control—across the board: from real estate and electric trucks to transport logistics and absenteeism.”
New developments come along regularly. Do you enjoy that?
“It’s fantastic. Every time I get in the car, I’m curious to see what the day will bring. The great thing is that everyone at CSE understands that innovation comes with a lot of regulatory and operational work—and they take that seriously. And the same goes the other way: we can count on each other.”
“It’s our responsibility to ensure that you remain agile”
How do you see our future together?
“Our partnership is solid—that’s not going to change. In terms of content, things will undoubtedly evolve as the company continues to grow. CSE Sorting alone presents a lot of exciting challenges; that division is only just getting started. When a company orders a sorting machine, it travels across multiple continents. That brings some complex issues to the table.”
But there’s already a good plan in place?
“Absolutely. We think ahead, not after the fact. CSE is always prepared for what’s to come. Everyone and everything is up to date and in ‘bring-it-on’ mode. It’s our responsibility to ensure that you remain agile.”
