CSE’s headquarters in Oss recently underwent a complete transformation. Bouwbedrijf Van Peer, a Dutch construction company, built a new warehouse for CSE Sorting, renovated the offices, and created a state-of-the-art gym. Construction manager Bas Kuijpers shares insights about the project.
New Machine and the Business Gala
“Behind the office building, we first removed part of the structure. Then, we constructed a large warehouse spanning the full width of the site. It was quite a challenge because the warehouse had to be ready on time—not only for the arrival of the new machine for CSE Sorting but also for hosting the Business Gala Oss in the brand-new warehouse. We met the deadline by keeping the momentum going and meticulously sticking to the schedule. From ceiling installers to finishers, everyone had to deliver precisely on time.”
Tiered Floor
“The next phase, renovating the office and gym, was initially supposed to proceed at a slower pace. But we’re talking about CSE here—slowing down simply isn’t part of their DNA. In the end, we turned it into something truly special. From a technical perspective, the tiered floor is remarkable as it allowed us to create an additional office level, literally providing space for the company’s growth. The gym, however, retained its impressive seven-meter height to the roof, resulting in a stunning effect. The entrance also received a major upgrade, with a glass facade replacing the rolling doors, letting in plenty of natural light.”
“These are the kinds of projects you talk about at the bar or in the gym.”
Always a work of art
“When we work for CSE, we always end up creating a work of art, even during the finishing stages. You can see that in this project with the luxurious restrooms and gym facilities. They are top-notch and anything but standard. In fact, no project for CSE is ever ‘ordinary.’ It’s also always a pleasure to work together. We get along well and can speak openly with one another. Of course, there’s pressure at times, and CSE is a demanding client, but that keeps you sharp. Honestly, these are the kinds of projects you talk about at the bar or in the gym.”
